Doing it for the ‘Gram – The most instagramable locations in Belfast

When it comes to ‘gram-worthy drinking and dining, Belfast is certainly coming into its own when marked against the likes of Dublin and London for ‘gramable locations. And if you’re looking to up your Insta game, we’ve rounded up six of the most photogenic spots in the capital – from historic maritime walks and lush gardens to pinkastic brunch spots and oasis-like cocktail bars.

The Salmon of Knowledge ( Big Fish)

One of the more unusual attractions in the city, The Big Fish or Salmon of Knowledge marks the start of the recently opened Maritime Mile. The ceramic scales are filled with text and images relating to the history of Belfast, and it is said that kissing the fish grants the person wisdom! We don’t know about that, but it does provide excellent Insta worthy images.

Botanic Gardens

When the weather is in top form, there is nothing quite like Botanic Gardens for the perfect snap. With vibrant colours, exquisite tropical backdrops, and the odd semi-naked sun worshipper, Botanic Gardens offers the avid Instagrammer the perfect excuse to litter their feed with on-trend succulents and florals. Our top tip apply the faux ‘Golden Hour’ filter for a joyous POP of colour!

Cave Hill

From atop Cave Hill, Belfast in all her glory can be experienced and snapped up! So if you are after the perfect landscape shot then a walk to the top is a must! If you’re really lucky, you might even get a glimpse of Scotland. A little-known fact about Cave Hill is that it is said Gulliver’s Travels was inspired by the shape of the mountain which takes the shape of a sleeping giant.

Rita’s Den

Nowadays it’s not enough for a bar to serve killer drinks, they have to dazzle the unexpecting guest. Luckily, Rita’s has so much to point your phone at. From the moment you cross the threshold this place will light up your newsfeed, with it’s dark and mysterious brothel inspired décor and scrumptious cocktail. Actually, I think we are going to head there right now!

Miel et Moi

Northern Irelands first licensed patisserie, Miel et Moi is a little piece of Parisian paradise at the top of the Lisburn road and has been featured in dozens of Instagram posts – and no influencer worth their salt can resist a visit. Swoon over the captivating floral installations and indulge in an almost -too- pretty- eat a selection of cakes and drinks. (excuse us while we drool over their signature macaroons) If you haven’t paid our sis a visit then click here to book!

The Perch Rooftop Bar (Obvs)

We may be biased but The Perch Rooftop Bar is still one of Belfast’s most Insta-worthy cocktail bars. Filing our feeds for almost four years with wonderous cocktails, you’ll be hard pushed not to find something to photograph. For the ultimate Insta-bait, order one of our signature seasonal cocktails and sit in the iconic lovebird’s chair.

The Perch Rooftop Bar
